POLYETHYLENE TANK
UNDERGROUND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Excavate ground to a depth that will provide maximum cover of 24" over top of the tank.

2. Hole should be large enough to allow for 18" to 24" space on all 4 sides of the tank.

3. Prior to placing the tank in the hole, make sure all sharp objects and large rocks are removed to prevent the tank from being damaged.

4. Tank should be bedded in minimum 6" to 12" of sand, pea gravel or equivalent material. Sand backfill should be tamped and well packed.

5. Tanks that are supplied with support posts must be inspected to insure that all posts are secure in their appropriate locations.

6. With the same bedding material backfill tank in 12" layers. Compact each layer before applying the next layer.

7. The final 12" of backfill over top of tank can be native soil. This soil should be mounded and sloped away from tank to provide positive drainage away from the tank.

8. Drainage devices such as eavestoughs should not be placed near tank installation as this may cause an unintended high water condition.

9. Tanks should not be installed in high water table conditions.

10. Tanks should not be installed under or very near to roadways. Tanks should be posted to prevent vehicle traffic over the tank.

11. Failure to follow installation instructions will void the warranty.
